Rural School Sanitation

The Turntable Trust team helped Gudlintaba Primary School, in collaboration with Gift of The Givers, to improve sanitation for learners and teachers.

Before this, staff and children only had access to one working toilet, which was in poor condition.

New toilets were built, and the Gift of The Givers also handed out food parcels to the learners to take home for the day.

Food Parcel Distribution

Food parcels were organised and distributed to Mafohla Primary School.

Poverty is widespread in South Africa, especially in rural areas. Young children often go to school without proper meals, which increases the difficulty of learning.

We wanted to improve nutrition of the learners and encourage them to attend school and access an education.

School Garden Projects

The team visited Sindawonye Primary School to start their #Greening_the_world_Project

This project was started to encourage learners to love and enjoy health food and also to have an interest in agriculture when they go to High School

Teaching the learners how to plant and nurture their gardens will not only help the learners develop a love for agriculture but will also help with improving nutrition

Clinic Visit

The trust facilitated a mobile clinic for community members in collaboration with the Department of Health
